Information regarding the use of cookies

Last updated: 02/10/2026

When visiting the website www.rent.immo or the website paris.rent.immo (hereinafter the "Site(s)"), and the RENT mobile application (hereinafter the "Application"), information may be stored in "Cookies" files installed by us or by third parties on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Similar technologies, such as tracking pixels (also referred to as "pixels" or "web beacons"), may also be used, in particular in our electronic communications (i.e. emails). When you use the Application, a software identifier from your mobile phone may be transmitted to us depending on the preferences you have set on your mobile phone. This identifier is often called "AID" (Android ID) on Android or "IDFA" (Identifier for Advertisers) on iOS.

For the sake of clarity, this information document on the use of cookies and trackers covers both the use of Cookies files and pixels associated with the browser software on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone, and the use of your mobile phone's advertising identifier (AID or IDFA described above).

This page explains what a Cookie and a tracker are, how we use them, and what options are available to you to make choices regarding these cookies and trackers.

The Sites and the Application are published by REALNEWTECH, a subsidiary of Groupe Figaro, which also includes the companies publishing the websites listed here, as well as the companies Figaromédias (advertising sales house), CCM Performance (performance marketing company), and Zebestof (company specializing in programmatic advertising / trading desk).

WHAT IS A COOKIE AND A TRACKER?
The term “cookie” is a generic term that refers both to a text file placed in a dedicated space on your device’s hard drive (computer, tablet, mobile phone, or any other Internet-enabled device) when viewing online content or advertising, and to similar technologies that make it possible to read or write information on a user’s device and, in combination with the use of cookies, track their activity on the Internet or within an application. Some cookies are essential for the use of the Sites or the Application, while others help optimize and personalize the content displayed. The Cookie file contains certain information, such as a unique identifier, the name of the Site or the Application, as well as numbers and characters.
This Cookie file is read by its issuer. During its period of validity, it allows its issuer to recognize the relevant device each time that device accesses digital content containing Cookies from the same issuer and to remember information such as user preferences and information previously entered by the user in forms available on the Site or in the Application. Some cookies may also be used to store the contents of a shopping cart, others to save a site’s language settings, and others still to deliver targeted advertising.
A Cookie does not directly identify a user (it does not contain a first or last name), but rather the browser on your device or the Application, generally a mobile one, that is being used. However, it does make it possible to track the actions of the same user using the unique identifier contained in the Cookie file. The term “cookies and trackers” also refers to other similar technologies such as web beacons or invisible pixels, which are small digital images embedded in web pages or emails. Depending on the case, these technologies make it possible to measure interactions (for example, the opening of an email), compile statistics, or improve the content offered.
WHAT ARE THE COOKIES AND TRACKERS USED BY THE RENT WEBSITES AND APPLICATION USED FOR?
Several types of cookies and trackers may be stored on your device when you access our services during a visit to our websites or via our application:
1. Technical cookies These are used to enable your browsing on the websites and our application, ensure the security of the websites and the application, and allow you to access the various products and services available on the websites and the application.
Technical cookies include cookies that are strictly necessary for browsing our websites and our application (such as session identifiers, your operating system version, and the version of the application used), which allow you to use the main features of the website visited or the application, as well as functionality cookies that give you access to specific features, in particular by recognizing you, recording your visit to a given page, and thereby improving your browsing comfort: adapting the presentation of the website to your device’s display preferences (language used, display resolution) and/or remembering information relating to a form you have completed on the website or the application (registration or access to the members’ area). Technical cookies also make it possible to implement security measures (for example, when you are asked to log back into your account after a certain period of time).
You may object to the use of these cookies and delete them by using your browser settings; however, you may then no longer be able to access the websites, the application, and/or the services available on the websites and the application.
These cookies have a very short lifespan: for strictly necessary cookies, for the duration of the session; and for functionality cookies, for the duration of the session, a few hours, or at most one year.
2. Audience measurement cookies and trackers These are placed by us or by our technical service providers for the purpose of measuring the audience of the various content and sections of our websites and our application, in order to assess them and organize them more effectively.
In addition to traffic analysis, they may also be used, where applicable, to detect browsing issues and therefore improve the ergonomics of our services. The traffic analysis services used by these websites and this application produce and send to our technical service providers only aggregated statistics and traffic volumes, excluding any individual information. They do not allow your browsing to be tracked across other websites.
The lifespan of these audience measurement cookies does not exceed 13 months.
Tracking pixels in our email campaigns: We also use tools to measure the effectiveness of our email campaigns, enabling us to take relevant commercial actions based on the information collected in this way (for example, sending a new message). These measurements rely on tracking pixels inserted into our emails. Depending on the case, these pixels may be used:
on the basis of your prior consent, when they make it possible to track your interactions on an individualized basis (for example, opens or clicks associated with your address) in order to optimize our campaigns or personalize our messages;
  • or without collecting consent when the pixels are used in emails that may be linked to a service you have requested (for example, certain transactional or editorial emails) and their use is strictly limited to exempt purposes provided for by regulations, such as security, authentication, or deliverability measurement. In this case, the data collected is limited to what is strictly necessary and may not be reused for prospecting or profiling purposes.
For contact details collected before April 14, 2026, we may, in accordance with CNIL recommendations, use these pixels during a transitional period, provided that we inform you and offer you a simple opt-out mechanism.
3. Sharing cookies (social networks) These are intended to improve the interactivity of the websites or the application.
Our websites or the application contain cookies linked to sharing features for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other similar social networks, which allow you to share content from our websites or our application with other people, or to let those people know that you have viewed or expressed an opinion about content on the websites/the application, or to log in and access all REALNEWTECH services using your login credentials for those social networks.
This is notably the case for “share” and “like” buttons from social networks such as Facebook or X (formerly Twitter). The social network providing such an application button may identify you through that button, even if you did not use it while visiting our websites/our application.
These cookies are placed directly by those social networks. If you are logged into the social network while browsing our websites/our application, the sharing buttons allow the content viewed to be linked to your user account.
These cookies may also be placed when your browser displays content from social networks embedded within content on the website or the application.
We invite you to consult the privacy policies of these social networks in order to learn about the purposes for which they use the browsing information they may collect through these application buttons, particularly for advertising purposes.
The lifespan of these cookies generally does not exceed 13 months.

Cookies used to track the effectiveness of our email campaigns: Click the link contained in each email.

Please note, these Cookies make it possible to measure traffic or audience associated with our website, the pages visited, and the interactions carried out on the Site during your visit or from our communications. Disabling them therefore prevents any collection of information relating to your browsing on our Site and/or your interactions with our Services and therefore the provision of content tailored to your browsing.

Cookies issued by social networks:

Please note, disabling these Cookies will prevent any interaction with the relevant social network(s).

Please note that the recording of your various preferences regarding the use of cookies on the Site relies on one or more specific Cookies. If you delete all Cookies stored on your device, we will no longer know what consent or refusal you have expressed. This will therefore amount to resetting your consent, and you will therefore have to refuse again the Cookie or Cookies that you do not wish to keep. Likewise, if you use another Internet browser, you will have to refuse these Cookies again because your choices, like the Cookies to which they relate, depend on the browser and the device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) that you use to consult the Site.

TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Please note that some of our partners (advertising networks, technical service providers, etc.) are located outside the European Union, and the data collected using Cookies may be transferred to countries outside the European Union, whose legislation on personal data protection differs from that applicable in France.

We require our partners to use your personal data only to manage or provide the requested services and ask them to always act in compliance with the applicable laws on personal data protection and to pay particular attention to the confidentiality of such data.

Furthermore, where data is transferred to a country whose legislation on personal data protection is less protective, we ensure that such transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which help guarantee a sufficient level of protection for privacy and individuals' fundamental rights.

UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We may modify this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, to further clarify our practices, or to ensure compliance with regulations.

We invite you to consult our cookie policy and its updates regularly.
